About this event

Read the full transcript

Back in March 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic took hold in the UK, Made Tech helped build a serverless platform to support Covid testing on a large scale. Part of this process meant decommissioning the original platform and moving all its data quickly and safely.

In this talk, Lead Engineer Reuben Hillyer will share the things to consider when decommissioning a platform. He’ll cover the ways teams can approach this type of challenge and reflect on what could have been done differently on this project.

We’ll be covering:

  • Planning and actioning a decommission
  • Data considerations
  • Lessons learned

How this session will run:

  • Free to attend!
  • Hosted and recorded via Zoom Webinar
  • Questions and answers at the end
  • We’ll ask for feedback after the event
