In April, Made Tech was awarded a new contract with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) to support its Technology portfolio. We’ll be working together to improve DBT’s digital platform and associated services, helping staff work more efficiently in UK offices, while on the move and across the 100+ countries where they support UK and international trade. This builds on our recent work to improve data insights at DBT. You can read more about that here.
We’re delighted to partner with Made Tech, which will offer innovative and skilled digital services to help our teams work more effectively in the UK and across the globe.”
Jason Kitcat, Director of Digital, Data and Technology, Department for Business and Trade
How we’re supporting the Department for Business and Trade
Made Tech will work alongside DBT’s Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT) teams to help optimise the DBT platform and cloud technologies that digital services staff use daily. We’ll provide hands-on expertise and help civil servants grow their digital skills. By sharing the knowledge we’ve gained from our experience across government, we’re helping the department build long-term capability and supporting them to:
- migrate services from GOV.UK PaaS to the new DBT Platform
- improve their AWS-based platform for smoother, more cost-effective operations
- enhance Microsoft 365 tools like Power Apps and Dynamics
- increase visibility of their digital infrastructure to manage cloud costs and track performance
- explore new technology needs through discovery work
- make it easier for developers to build, test and launch services
A more efficient future
The DBT Platform plays a key role in enabling the department to work more efficiently. Made Tech will optimise it for future needs, helping reduce costs and improve services. Our team will also support knowledge sharing, helping DBT build its internal digital skills.
We’re excited to continue our work with DBT to enhance their digital capabilities. Our goal is to make sure their teams have the tools and support they need to succeed.”
