Made Tech Housing has launched a new digital Hazard Case Management system to help social landlords meet the requirements of Awaab’s Law, giving them the tools to track, manage, and evidence housing hazards efficiently and transparently.
With Awaab’s Law now in force, social landlords must comply with new legally binding timeframes for identifying, investigating, and resolving hazards such as damp and mould.
To meet these challenges, the London Boroughs of Camden and Barking & Dagenham have partnered with Made Tech Housing to implement the new system, a purpose-built platform designed to help landlords stay compliant, improve tenant safety, and streamline case management.
Already live across both boroughs, Hazard Case Management gives housing teams end-to-end visibility of every case, from initial report through to resolution. The system also supports clear communication with tenants and provides instant evidence trails for regulators or disrepair claims.
Supporting safer, faster responses to housing hazards
“Awaab’s Law marks a step-change in how social landlords must respond to housing hazards. We’re committed to keeping residents safe, and we need systems that make it easy for officers to do the right thing quickly. Working with Made Tech has enabled us to co-design a solution that reflects real operational challenges and helps us meet the new legal requirements confidently.”
– Leona Menville, Strategic Director – Housing, Environment & Communities (HEC), London Borough of Barking and Dagenham
“Awaab’s Law has raised the bar for landlords, and Made Tech’s Hazard Case Management solution gives our teams a single place to manage cases, track progress, and communicate clearly with tenants. It supports Camden’s commitment to delivering safe, warm, and decent homes by ensuring that every hazard is responded to promptly and transparently, with a clear audit trail and accountability at every stage.”
– Tony Castle, Head of Service for Repairs and Operations, London Borough of Camden
Co-designed with councils for long-term compliance
Developed in collaboration with local authorities, Hazard Case Management supports landlords through the first phase of Awaab’s Law and into 2026 and 2027 as additional hazard come into scope.
The platform integrates with existing scheduling and repairs systems to help housing providers not only stay compliant but deliver a better experience for tenants and officers alike.
