FAQs

Yes. You can purchase Inspection Scheduling as a standalone application. It is also included as standard for customers who buy the full version of Repairs.

No, the Inspection Scheduling module can work on its own, offering pre-configured appointment slots to your residents. However, integration with a scheduler will offer more precise appointment slots to residents based on your availability.

We have calculated the average cost of missed appointments based on the following data:

Cost to print and send 1st appointment letter: £0.88 (8p to print, 80p 2nd class franked mail)

Cost of appointment: £100 (EICR is about £80-125, gas safety £35-99)

Travel: £4.50 (based on 45p per mile and 5 miles of travel between the previous appointment and following appointment)

Cost of follow up call to rebook appointment: £6.26 (ContactBabel, 2024)

Cost to print and send new appointment letter: £0.88

Total per missed appointment: £112.52

Based on customer and third-party data, we identified that the average social housing stock size (not including local authorities and housing associations with less than 1000 stock) is about 5000 homes. Data from Inside Housing suggests the average number of missed appointments is around 30%.

Most properties need at least three inspections per year; a mandatory annual gas safety inspection (avg cost £100), a general inspection to check the condition of the property and one repair.

Based on this data, the average HA deals with 5215 missed appointments per year costing them £586,791.80, based on our cost per missed appointment figure of £112.52. We believe that we can cut this number by 60%, saving the average provider £352,108.84 a year.
