About the role
Strategy & Change Leads are responsible for advising, helping shape and lead parts of a client engagement. The role will identify, evaluate and recommend options, working closely with client partners and delivery teams to help identify, shape and deliver a wide range of consulting opportunities.
The role holder will be confident and experienced in engaging senior clients up to and including C-Suite level employing consulting techniques to gain trusted advisor status.
We expect this role holder to have a varied and extensive delivery background and to be equally comfortable in a variety of roles across a range of different accounts drawing off an accomplished and successful career in delivering and embedding digitally-enabled change.
The successful candidate will often be responsible for leading small to medium transformation projects, helping teams to understand complex business scenarios, translating business drivers, goals and constraints into business outcomes, to define required capabilities that will enable our clients to expedite organisational change.
Working in an Agile delivery setting alongside consultants, product managers, service designers, user researchers and business analysts, the Strategy & Design Lead will oversee and be responsible for the hands-on delivery of business agility improvements and ensuring business change is successfully embedded.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible to the Head of Business Analysis and Change for successfully designing and delivering good public services
- Taking responsibility for understanding client requirements, helping to shape and deliver opportunities and providing client team shaping advice and direction on client accounts providing SME engagement as a transformation specialist consultant
- Providing guidance, support and team leadership to our consulting teams and specialist consultancy advisory services for clients. Shaping design and delivery of transformation initiatives covering a wide range of topics:
- Cost reduction
- Workforce transformation
- New operating models
- Enterprise agility
- Continuous improvement
- Customer experience strategy
- Business change communication & enablement
- Creation of business cases and relevant proposals, assisting with an assurance review on key deliveries
- Providing pre-sales support on bids shaping and drafting responses and supporting or occasionally leading on proposal presentations to existing or new clients to help add value and credibility and maximise bid success opportunities for Made Tech
- Responsible for providing support and understanding for Made Tech colleagues to promote better integration of the transformation practice across Made Tech
- Championing the practice across Made Tech through CoP participation, development and delivery of training/briefings, providing coaching and mentoring support, etc
- Supporting or leading on training and briefings for our client partner teams to help understanding of potential consulting opportunities and how we might achieve strategic supplier status with clients
- Represent user-centred design and change publicly and internally
